the list is compiled

So. I have finished. 

THE LIST.

The seven colleges that will make or break my future.

In other words, the seven colleges that I am applying to. And the list is!

1. REACH: Yale. Clearly, my top choice. I will be applying Early Action.
2. REACH: Amherst. My second choice. If I do not get into Yale and get into Amherst, I will be happy, and also consider myself lucky.
3. TARGET: BYU-Hawaii. A clear third option. Beautiful island, LDS background, equal academic credentials to BYU-Utah.
4. TARGET: BYU-Utah. It would be boring to go to BYU because I basically already go to BYU. But it would be fun because lots of my friends go there, and I could be near family.
5. TARGET: California State University-Long Beach. Wouldn't Long Beach be a sweet place to go to college? And it has all the majors I want and then some. And its inexpensive.
6. SAFETY: Washington State. It has some great majors and its a pretty good school. I could see myself there.
7. SAFETY: Ohio State. I know, there is nothing in Ohio. But its a good school as well, and would supply me with an education. And I'm pretty sure I'll get in. 

To decode for those of you not obsessed with college applications, a "reach" is a dream school that is exceptionally difficult to get into, "target" schools are great schools you're pretty sure you'll get into, and "safety" schools are basically shoe-ins should you not get into your target schools that will still provide you with a good education, and that you can be happy about going into.

It is not easy to compile such a list. But I've done it, and it is finished. Now I just have to apply...and wait.
